KKMP has its own inhouse gasketing process via FIPFG
(Formed In Place Foam Gasket) machine.
A gasket is a mechanical seal which fills the space between two or more mating surfaces, generally to prevent leakage from or into the joined objects while under compression. Gaskets allow for "less-than-perfect" mating surfaces on machine parts where they can fill irregularities.
Advantage of our computer controlled gasketing process
• Reliable in term of quality & precision produced.
• Changes allowed for different gasket requirement
• High production speed, capable to cater for high volume part
(less labour intensive compared to traditional buy & mount gasket)
By combining gasketing process with our strong sheet metal capability,
we can produce metal enclosures that require protection from
air/dust/water and others.
Such standard of enclosure was called IP enclosure (by International Electrotechnical Commission) or NEMA enclosure (by National Electrical Manufacturers Association).
KKMP current gasketing process can produce enclosure rated up to IP68.
IP65 – dust tight, protection from low pressure water jet from any direction
IP66 – dust tight, protection from high pressure water jet from any direction
IP67 – dust tight, protection from immersion up to 1 meter
IP68 - dust tight, protection from continuous immersion
